World Grows Green
May. 31st, 2010 05:08 pmI've been having a quiet Memorial Day, its nice to spend it in a place that's not a resort town. Lewes gets very busy on Memorial Day and my family tends to hide from the arriving tourists. In Michigan on the other hand, its been gray and there's been thunder in the distance all day. the_croupier and I are going to do something later.
So its a day for small accomplishments, as I think about both my grandfathers who fought in WWII and all the soldiers far from home and the ones who didn't come back.
One of my little things that I've done is picked the camera that I'm going to get for my birthday, a Canon PowerShot SD1300IS, part of why I chose it is I like the brown color, its sort of elegant. I've also uploaded a number of Spring pictures that I took this past week and I'm going to post them below the cut.
Later I'm thinking about maybe posting a prompt meme of some sort, because I'm in a writing mood but low on ideas. Another nice bit of news is that I found out that I'm eligible for some decent loans for next year, which is nice, I need to figure them out, but it should work out fine. Warning for lots of images under the cut.
These were on my walk home and I love how well this picture turned out.
